Pilotfly 3-axis gimbal

Postby Ron Hunter » Sun Apr 12, 2015 5:46 pm

I watched a video today of a person using the Pilotfly 3-axis gimbal with the GH4. I think the footage is amazing. He is literally running at one point but the footage is so steady, it is hard to tell.

I knew the Pilotfly was great for GoPro-sized cameras but I didn't know it could "handle" the GH4 with a beefy lens (12-35mm). Hopefully the market will be flooded with 3-axis gimbals with the conclusion of NAB this week, but even if it isn't, I think we have a winner here:

I don't think the PilotFly FunnyGo can handle the larger camera, Ron. I think it is a larger version of the PilotFly:

It does look good!

After using it to learn how to work with it, about 3 - 4 times, mine will not turn on. Looks like I'll have to send it back to China for repair.

Wow! That is pretty amazing. Those camera guys who chase the cops around on those reality shows could really make use of those.

I think that they want the shake in there for effect.

Thanks Patrice! So there is a Pilotfly for GoPros and a Pilotfly for heavier (but still small) cameras.

Thanks for sharing your unfortunate experience with us, that is a shame and makes me hesitant to order one. Hope you get it repaired and back in action soon.

Pilotfly is taking pre-orders for the Pilotfly H1 at a special pre-order price of $674.10 (10% off the regular $749 price). Shipping is not included.
