Here is my video editing setup when we go camping, only one monitor and two laptops, this is really roughing it ...

1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

What you don't see in the picture is all of the open windows. Sunny and 65 degrees today :)

Do you have to have your generator running when you use that setup? My wife says leave the computers home when on vacation but I would get cabin fever without my laptop.

We are connected to a 50 amp electric circuit, no issues with power. We also have a 50 amp generator but rarely need use it. If I didn't take my work with us camping we would never be able to go. Being self employed means that I don't have vacation days anymore, have to plan working vacations. I work on very large scale logistics software implementations, need to have my computers, large monitor and good internet access. There isn't much I can't do from anywhere we happen to go.
