I'm here... busted by "twosheds"

I'm present and accounted for. (Busted by John 'twosheds' McDonald, thanks for noticing my friend. I didn't realize I wasn't automatically logging in.) I've enjoyed being a part of this forum family from the week of of inception. I do more lurking than posting but I do keep up with what's happening in the Muvipix community!

I'm with BuddyB... hospitalizations, ER visits, plus specialists at the new 9 floor clinic. Hubby says we need to rent a room but I vote for a donation in exchange for a personalized handicapped parking space. On a happy note... Several photos I submitted to a contest are hanging in elevator lobbies, clinic waiting rooms and patient exam rooms.

In August, we were hit by 2 flash floods within 2 weeks. Fortunately neither got into the house itself, but both our attached garage and the free standing garage were flooded and all our landscape was destroyed. The first one happened at night. We were rescued by teenage neighbors who led us across the street, wading in muddy water up to our knees, to their house on higher ground. The second one (which was less severe) was in the afternoon and I was able to get video.

We have had some fun times too... video from monthly vacation getaways and several house guest. One guest was very special, I reconnected with a school friend that I hadn't seen in more than 30 years. Then I got to meet my husband's aunts from Ohio and Georgia complete with a short version of “Minnie Pearl and the Golden Girls” video at Vimeo

Saturday I attended my first grandchild's wedding (got some good video and pix). The weather was nice on the drive there, but I had to drive home in the snow which continued to accumulate to over a foot by Sunday night. I know New England has it much, much worse. But for all of Kentucky our major problem is inaccessible roads. Right now I am enjoying watching my 88-year-old mother crochet. She came home with me after the wedding and we can't get to her home which is only 10 miles away.

Minnie Pearl and the Golden girls thanks for the smile today! Good to see that you are shooting and editing. Congrats on the photos chosen for the hospital. Hope you are on the mend now. Sounds like you had more than your share of medical problems. Good to hear from you Cinde.

Cinde I know the feelings..my year of trial, and I was out of work a year (Forget the fact I should be retired) has totally changed my outlook. I hope yours has not and will not take that long. I feel, sometimes, like the "Six Million Dollar Man," but another six months and maybe I'll be 25 again. I pray for your solid healing, and it's always wonderful to see you here.
