Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this? Not bad for a simulated display. There's much of this that couldn't be done for real, but it's amazing what they can do now. Our local 4th of July display had some things last year that I've never seen before and wouldn't have thought was possible.

Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this?Somebody fixed the video so that it would open in post. Maybe Dave? If so thanks. Are you sure it is simulated. It sure looks real to me.
Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this? From the YouTube notes:
http://www.fwsim.com/ Yes, I fixed the YouTube link. Sorry if I disappointed about the fireworks not being real. If you look at the points of origin in the video you'll see the fireworks shooting off from everywhere including the near foreground to the distant background, and from points out of nowhere. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this?Yes, you are correct. A big disappointment for us as the wife sent this link to many of our friends. We were fooled again.
Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this?
Don't feel bad. With the state of CG being what it is in movies and TV today we're all fooled regularly, and completely oblivious to the deception. It was a fun diversion. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Have you ever seen fireworks like this?My first thought was that it looked like CGI. It was too perfect.
