How do I remove isearch?

Postby Little Nac » Tue Jan 13, 2015 11:00 pm

Hi Guys. Sorry to be a pest but I guess this is my fault. Somehow I picked up in my Internet search field a program called "isearch". I have read about it on the Net and tried every thing to remove it. Can anyone please tell me how to delete it? Thanks in advance.
Cheers, L.N. :ha:
If you are faced with a forced landing at night, switch on the landing lights, if you don't like what you see, switch them back off.

Thanks Peru. I tried them, but after they finished, it is still there. Unless there is a simple solution, I'm afraid I have not other alternative but to format my drive.
Thanks again. :pull:

Most likely it's snuck in as an add-on to one of your browsers.

Which browser are you seeing it in? And do you see it if you go to the same web site with another browser?

My dear sister is terribly tech challenged. She gets this kind of stuff all the time.

First we go to: (Firefox)

Menu> add-ons> then through Add-ons, Extensions, and Plug-ins, either remove, delete or inactivate, whatever it takes.

After that we go to Control Panel> to add/remove programs and try (not always successfully) to remove the program there.

If that fails, we go to Programs and Programs X86, search for the file and delete it, if possible.

The ones that still can't be removed would require going into the system. After many years I've finally taught her how to copy and paste while I give her direct instructions. No way she could go into the system - long distance on the phone! Is there a smilie for pulling your hair out? :fg:

Hi Guys,
This is on the behalf of Little Nac, Yes Steve he has a couple of browers but unfortunately it appeared whatever. Eventually after
playing around with it for most of the day, he finally decided to format the drive. Oh well nothing like a clean-up, thanks again
