My dear sister is terribly tech challenged. She gets this kind of stuff all the time.
First we go to: (Firefox)
Menu> add-ons> then through Add-ons, Extensions, and Plug-ins, either remove, delete or inactivate, whatever it takes.
After that we go to Control Panel> to add/remove programs and try (not always successfully) to remove the program there.
If that fails, we go to Programs and Programs X86, search for the file and delete it, if possible.
The ones that still can't be removed would require going into the system. After many years I've finally taught her how to copy and paste while I give her direct instructions. No way she could go into the system - long distance on the phone! Is there a smilie for pulling your hair out?
