Beware! If you use NIS Identify Safe...

... and you see this dialog:

The fine print: As the author Thoms Wolfe has written,
You can't go home again."

As I understand it, once you have chosen to move your Identity Safe logins to the cloud, you have irrevocably abandoned your ability to keep your logins on your local machine(s).

Didn't this come up a while back?

I mentioned previously that, when renewing and then downloading, one has the option during the installation of choosing "Keep Local" or "Go Cloud." That was a while ago.

Now, after quite some time, happily, keeping it local, that dialog appeared.

It seems Norton would like one to move to the cloud when the following is emphasized: "Use your Identity Safe logins from any device." Problem is, the fine print is missing from that statement.

I've put the missing fine print in bold and then underlined it: "Use your Identity Safe logins from any device that has NIS installed.

In short, the dialog appears to be a covert marketing ploy.

If I am wrong about that, someone please correct me.
