Computer Screen

Postby Bubby Grub » Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:00 pm

Hi All,

I am suddenly in the market for a new computer monitor, I normally have two monitors but my main one has just packed up.
This one was a Samsung 24" which I have had for a few years. I do have a 26" Samsung on another computer at another place.
Any thoughts on what is a good one probably around 26" or so. I have just found an Acer 27" for $298.00
Model G276HLBQ and also comes with a 3 year warranty, does anyone know anything about them. I kind of need one in a hurry
so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Thanks John for the reminder about the other topic, I had a vague idea I had seen something a little
back just wasn't sure when.

I purchased a ViewSonic 27" IPS widescreen monitor (VX2770SMH-LED) from Amazon for $264.68. I have had it for a week and LOVE this monitor. I should have gotten this thing years ago.

The monitor provides HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. It has speakers and headphone outputs but I don't use them. It has a 3yr warranty whereas other vendors typically offer 1yr. The stand doesn't allow up/down adjustment, nor does it allow portrait/landscape rotation adjustments, but I didn't want those anyway. Super thin, looks great on my desk, and the display performance is fantastic. The only thing about this monitor that is close to a "negative" is that the controls (power, various adjustments) are touch controls mounted on the monitor stand.

Again, I've only had it for a week but I have no regrets and would order it again. Great value for the money IMO. :gl:
