The seafood looked good to me too! We went to a fresh seafood market once in FL and brought back a cooler full of shrimp.

Oh, yes, John 2sheds needs to weigh in on the discussion. :)

Well, what can I say. Perfect English throughout! :-D

A little background/context. Leicester has a diverse cultural mix as can be seen in the film. Regarding the fish stall(s) it is easy to forget that nowhere in the entire UK is more than one hundred miles from the sea.

The fishmonger at the start of the film has a Leicester accent. That is the thing about this small island, the variation in accents that are very "focused" on specific areas of not very great dimensions. For example Liverpool and Manchester are only thirty five miles apart and yet each conurbation has very distinct and greatly different accents. Go twelve miles north of Manchester and the accents are different again. Go twelve miles south and, guess what, different yet again. A keen ear can identify where anyone in the UK is from within a range of about twenty miles!

Leicester also boasts one of the best club rugby union teams in the northern hemisphere. For rugby think "US football-ish", without the helmets and body armour, teams of fifteen men and the basic rule is to play the the man with the ball rather than the man in front of you (yes, if you haven't guessed, I don't understand US football).

An aside and a plea. If ever you are able to visit the UK please try to see cities and the countryside outside London.

Very interesting, John! It's highly unlikely I'll ever make it across the pond, but I do enjoy learning about places and people.

Fascinating John how the accents are so diverse in a relatively close distance of each other. I would love to visit someday. In the interim I enjoy all the travel videos.

Love the story and the camera work.

'Return of the Sun' is a portrait of a modern Inuit family. Set against the fearsome North Greenland landscape, the film follows a fisherman and his son as their lives are forced to adapt with the Arctic environment.

What a hard life. I agree Cheryl, this is wonderfully done. And once again, the music sets the tone. ::CLAP:

I liked very much "Return of the sun", particularly the poetry of defocused background, great work on depth of field.
Ice mountains are great emotion in white and pink light!

Did you see "Simmetry-A palindromic film"?
I just quote from the description:
This film has been written symmetrically:
the second half is strictly like the first, but played backwards and mirrored.
The second part doesn't act like a simple rewinding, but as the following of the first.

Enjoy!

I thought I must be thick. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble with it. :conf:

I had the joy to see "Simmetry" once more with you :-)

I noticed that "simmetry" is becoming a genre, but I think this is well conceived piece of art.

Bergman had similar intuition, I would like to quote what I wrote in "Simmetry"'s comments one month ago:

I enjoyed it very much.
As a passionate of Ingmar Bergman's art, I dare recommend the vision of "From the Life of the Marionettes" of 1980, which is not strictly palindromic, but the plot can be understood only identifying the seventh sequence as the central and the other ones simmetrical in pairs (6-8, 5-9, 4-10, 3-11, 2-12).
My best compliments, regards from Sardinia

What an elegant creature the white owl !
I like very much the movement caught with still pics !
Great work, I'm astonished !
I like the oblique horizon too, some blame for some shots of mine, but I love its poetry :-)

Beautiful shots! We had an owl that visited every summer. He or she roosted on the flood light at the point of the roof. Just an owl and not a snow owl. They are fascinating to watch.
