Having reared 2 band geeks, that is precision! And practice, practice.

I'm in awe of them. I played second clarinet in a one clarinet band. And that was sitting down.

I played the saxophone for 3 weeks in 4th grade. It was too big for me so my Dad bought a golf bag caddy for me to wheel it 1 mile to school. The janitor had to carry it down the steps for me. Gave up.

Oh my! I think you should have taken up flute Cheryl! :)
Or piano. No one ever had to drag their piano back and forth to school.

A few of the neighbors got a laugh. One even called to his wife she had to come see a kid with sax on a golf caddy.

That band was great. Cheryl you just reminded me of when I was a kid, I use to play the Piano Accordion,
it was way to heavy for me to carry, and every time I went for lessons, my poor Dad use to have to carry it up
these huge flights of stairs, and pretty steep at that, then all the way down them, gave it up of course but I still
do have the accordion, and when I want to clean where it is stored, it takes me all my time even now to lift the case.

Talk about precision with a capital P..whew, loved it. Made me think of the days when at the University of Houston I was on the Cullen Rifle drill team, and it was not near that massive. But that precision stuff always appealed to me.

BG, thanks for sharing that story! I can't imagine how heavy and bulky a piano accordion is to carry.
