Suggestions for (free) morphing software?

Suggestions for (free) morphing software?I don't normally have a need for morphing software. I'm in the middle of a project, however, in which I have 9 photos of my grandson that I think would make for a nice little "growing up" morphing sequence. Obviously I don't want to spend money for this one-time sequence. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice freebie to do this?

Re: Suggestions for (free) morphing software?I've used Fantamorph before and thought it was free. It did a fabulous job.
http://www.fantamorph.com/index.html It appears they do have a free trial and ... !!!!... You can rent the software for about $8 per day!!! Seems to be the fashion of the times. At least they give you an option to own or rent, unlike Creative Cloud.

Just paying it back and forward. I've been helped countless times here. Just last month John Twosheds helped with an audio file. I would have been lost with out his help or days and days trying. A few years ago I bought the Deluxe because I was doing a lot of graduation work. It really saves time with the Facial Recognition. What also helps is getting it right in PS first. But, if you need to edit the psd Fantamorph will look at the edited file next time you open the program so no need to start over. I keep the masks attached so I can edit if needed. aka Cheryl

Re: Suggestions for (free) morphing software? From what I've seen so far the FantaMorph appears to be the most stable app out there. Can't see $8 a day though. I'm way too slow at doing stuff right now, but if the need becomes then I'll bite the bullet and buy the thing. I have a morph app stashed somewhere, but it's about 15 years old, and I'm not sure it'll do anything but stick figures.

I've never had any issues at all with it. They have great tutorials on their website. The author of the program is very responsive on their forum, but it is not a very active one and they are slow at removing spammers. There is an extensive thread here somewhere giving some useful tips about using FantaMorph.

Here is the thread. I updated my notes. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8987&p=79190#p79190 aka Cheryl

Re: Suggestions for (free) morphing software?Cheryl, Which version of Fantamorph do you use. There are 3 versions: standard, pro, and deluxe. Looks like you need the Pro version to process multiple images.

Re: Suggestions for (free) morphing software?
I know what you mean. A lot has changed on the internet in more recent times but it's wonderful to see how the old, helpful spirit thrives in this forum. I don't go back quite as far as "Compuserve Days" but it must have been heavenly then! I honestly don't remember if I purchased Fantamorph or not. There have been times I've changed computers and not moved every program to the new one. I guess I ought to check some old hard drives and see what I can find. I used to use Fantamorph in combination with ToonBoom Studio, which did not have a morphing feature, (not then, anyway, might have it now), to reduce the number of individual drawings I had to do. Might have used Adobe Illustrator in that process as well. I do remember being very impressed with the ease of using the program and its capabilities.
