Thumbs Plus half price

Postby Dave McElderry » Fri Feb 08, 2013 12:28 pm

I know we have some Thumbs Plus users here. For an undetermined amount of time Cerious Software is offering TP 9 at half price. I'm presently using V7 but not sure that I can see any compelling reason to upgrade, even at this good price. Their website isn't very helpful in offering comparisons between versions, so I'm not sure what I'd be getting by upgrading. Is anyone familiar enough with the program versions to assist with this decision?

I bought Thumbs Plus v7 but didn't find it helpful as I already had Adobe Bridge. It hasn't been installed on my PC for some time (two years?) now.

Quote from the UK PCPro magazine:-

"Companies can legitimately sell used software licences for downloadable software following a landmark decision from the European Court of Justice.
The case means customers of software companies that no longer want to use the product could put the licence up for sale, providing they stop using their own copies.

The ruling follows a German case in which Oracle was seeking to stop retailer usedSoft from reselling licences for its software. According to Oracle, the resale breached the terms of its licence and was therefore an infringement of copyright, but the court ruled that the licence could be sold on under European law."

Based on this if anyone would like my copy for free then please PM me.
