Talk about anything here.

Hi all, I will be heading to 'The Land of Sky Blue Waters' (anyone know what that is from?), northeastern Wisconsin tomorrow and will be there through Tuesday. Flying into Milwaukee on Friday night and driving up to Green Bay with one of my sisters, niece and nephew. This will be a weekend of both fun and sadness as my brother and sisters will all be together again, but we will be going through my Mom's things trying to decide what to keep. It has been almost a year since our Mom passed away, we miss her very much and even though many months have passed this will still be hard. We will spend much of the time with our Dad and we will hit the Karaoke bar for some singing and fun, I will try to get some of this on tape I will also be capturing the video from my niece's wedding in May and will be editing that in the weeks to come. Lots to do and only 4 days to do it If I am not quick to respond it will be because I will not be as connected as I usually am.

Actually, Hamm's Beer is brewed in Minneapolis. But I guess that's relatively close to Green Bay...
From the Land of Sky Blue Waters, From the land of pines, lofty balsams, Comes the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing.

Hi Chuck,
Have a wonderful time with your siblings. My husband is actually going that way to Algoma for some salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend, with weather in the 70s and you the leaves are starting to change! Nothing beats a Wisconsin fall! Safe travels! Kerrie

Hello Chuck, I second that (have a nice time etc). I'm sure your members will understand that you may not be able to answer all of our video problems! Sorry to hear about your mother! It would be nice to see some of that wedding video footage. Could that be arranged? Cheers, Lee

Thanks Lee, I will be posting some of the wedding footage on my new web site (still under construction). That is my deal with my sister, I will edit her daughters wedding for free if I can use the footage in public for promotional purposes. I will be posting a montage of footage and opening the new site before the end of the year. One of the great things about this wedding is that they had two cameras going all the time. They followed the bride for 2 days before the wedding, then shot the day of the wedding stuff from the hair dresser, nail salon, the whole thing, then getting ready, the ceremony, pictures, reception to the very end, lots of great footage to work with, in fact probably too much

Thanks Cinde, The new site is for video production, editing and training. The primary focus will be on churches and church events where the church can't afford their own media team and equipment. Editing wedding videos fits into this very well. http://www.yourchurchondvd.com

Hey! I'll actually be in Fifield, WI for 4 days starting tomorrow (northern part, right in the middle).
Actually, though, I believe all of this is "God's Country" (if you want to start quoting beer commercials...)
Dell XPS 8500 desktop w/ Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.4ghz / 22 gigs RAM / Radeon HD7570 1g dedicated video memory/ PrEl 11 & 9 / Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 / After Effects CS4 / Olympus OM-D E-M5 DSLR (1080i HD video)

That is a great area Gerry, we use to spend vacations up that way when I was a kid. Fifield is right between Minocqua and Hayward, not far from Lac Du Flambeau and Mercer (where my parents met and got married).

You got it, Chuck! I'll be at a resort for my annual fishing trip with my cousins from Chicago. This'll be the 22nd consecutive year at the same place. I just love it up there. Not that crazy about Lake of the Torches casino, but we go there anyhow. (Parenthetically, I knew the guy who wrote "God's Country." He was a complete and utter jerk.)

Hello Chuck, Very nice site and great idea! You will have plenty to keep yourself occupied Good luck with all of that etc! I'm also just married (3 months ago) and our wedding was also recorded but not as much as you mentioned. I did record a few tapes of our days leading up to the wedding and that will added to the guys who did our wedding dvd. So, plenty to keep myself occupied for the next few months! I think the best thing to video is a wedding! I have done many kinds of video projects but I have to say, weddings are the most enjoyable and well worth projects to do! Especially, when the couple shake your hand at the end of the day and you can really see they are pleased with it! I could go on and on but I will stop now Cheers, Lee
