Robert Gordon passed away last week. He was a local guy where I live, but was successful in NYC, first in punk rock then made his fame in the rockabilly revival back at the end of my university days. He was great in concert. This video is his cover of Marshal Crenshaw's biggest song, which charted on the top 40. Danny Gatton played guitar on this, he's on the right. Sad to see him go.VIDEO

RIP Jerry Lee Lewis.

For sure, Ed. This was one of those "Oh my gosh, she DIED?" moments for me. Then it was "She's HOW old?" A shame.

I have no music to add - potential thread hijack but with the best intentions as the music is relevant - Merry Christmas to all.

This was a shock. Jeff knew his way around a guitar as well as anyone ever did. In addition to having a number of his albums I also have the disc of his appearance at Ronnie Scott’s. What a great performance in an intimate setting. He’s left an incredible legacy. Rest In Peace.
