going forward you might consider using the FREE Blackmagic Camera app to record video on iPhone. It is almost as full featured a Filmic Pro but the key word being Free. The Blackmagic might give you some additional control over different aspects of the video you are trying to record.

Would a polarizer eliminate the reflections?

I looked around but no one seems to make the currently. Also, the shields are attached with double sided tape so not easily removed and reused..... Still looking though...

I tried to test out some additional settings including Linear and placement to the sun. Facing the sun is not so good as there is a lot of reflection due to the lens cover. But with the sun at my back it did not seem as noticeable. Cheers!
