Re: Distant radio stationThe first thing I'd do is try getting a clip of just plain background noise. Put it on a separate audio track and adjust the volumes of the two audio tracks relative to each other until you get the sound you need. Here's a site that has three flavors - white, pink, and brown: http://whitenoisemp3s.c...
Re: Using Keyframes to control vary volume on audio clipsChuck, I'm going to try attaching some pictures that may help. In these you can see the timeline. There are two audio tracks, and the lower one is selected. It contains the keyframes. The cursor is positioned between keyframes 2 and 3, right in the middle of the part where the volume is dropped to n...
Re: Using Keyframes to control vary volume on audio clipsOne thing that does occur to me is that my directions won't work correctly if there's a clip cut (one clip ends and another begins) anywhere between the keyframes. I'm assuming a continuous clip. Chuck also described a different method where he cuts the clip and applies a fade out on one clip and a ...
Re: Using Keyframes to control vary volume on audio clips If you are going to use the "right click/Fade/Out Audio" option you must split the clip at the point you want the fade to end. If you are keyframing the audio then you need to set the first keyframe at the normal level, then move the CTI to the place where you want the audio to be gone an...
Re: Bios question for Bobby or Bob or anyone. But I would hesitate to install a beta, especially since ASUS has made it obvious that they are no longer supporting the board. Good company, great boards, but rank a D or F on customer care. Man is that ever the truth. I know their reputation in motherboards, but I once had an experience dealing w...
Re: Using Keyframes to control vary volume on audio clipsChuck, I see you've already gotten some responses. Here's a more step-by-step approach, if that's what will be helpful. It's one way to do this. It's not the only way. In the Properties view make sure that you're showing keyframes. Move your timeline cursor to the point where you want to start the c...
Re: Second Copy 8Aw, you know what I meant.
Re: Second Copy 8I use space on my domain as offsite backup. Once I set up a profile all I have to do is run it and SC treats it like any other storage device. As far as I know the Windows backup doesn't have the ability to do this.
Re: Second Copy 8From the description it sounds like it could use large amounts of storage space, like a ghost image created with Acronis. I use Second Copy to make specific copies of folders and the files they contain, and I have created several profiles in order to back up different folder sets to different destin...
Re: Second Copy 8Good point Bobby. I notice that specifically it says this:
Any idea what that's referring to? Maybe that's the built-in safety?
Second Copy 8I just got a notice that the new version of Second Copy has been released. One of the new features is the ability to copy open files. If they could do that it seems like it would have been an obvious thing to do a long time ago. Glad I won't have to pay for the upgrade. I bought my copy after May 1,...
Re: I sold this to the local news, and it's gone viralAwesome Stu. Are the little tiny spots of light artificial light (homes?), or are these part of the fire?
Re: Premiere Elements encounters error during burning procesThe easiest way that I've found is to zoom in on the timeline to the maximum zoom. Then use the Page Down and Page Up key to jump to each break point, looking for gaps at each point. If you have many tracks this can get to be a bit tedious because you'll need to look at each track as you go.
Re: Bay Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon $1.98Ah, nothing like a fine vintaged Boone's Farm Apple! I consumed a fair amount of that in my early 20s. Don't want to relive those days.
