Hello and A Question

Hello from the past! This is your old friend Bobby, back after a long absence. I wish I had something new to report, but Alice and I are still hanging in at age 71 and still living the good life here at the NC beach. I am starting to revive my video hobby, and had to buy a new PC as my old one dedic...

Re: Hello Again... and a Question

Thanks all. I will try to stop by more often, and if I find a good solution I will let you know. First pass I am going to put an image or two on an external HD and take it to a friend's house who has a smart TV and see if it recognizes and plays. That would be the easy solution as both daughters hav...

Re: Hello Again... and a Question

Nope. That would not preserve the menus.

Thanks, Bob

Hello Again... and a Question

Hello to all my old friends here at muvipix. It's been a long time. Hello to Chuck and Steve and Twosheds and RJ and Bob and Momofduty and Sidd and Peru and Dave McElderry and the many more whom I haven't shared with in literally years. I am fine. My wife and I hit 70 this year, in great health and ...

Re: Is the desktop destined for the same fate as the VCR?

We just bought a new all-in-one for my wife's PC. Very limited choices. But her primary motivation for not getting a notebook was screen size. She loves that 23" screen!

Re: [vimeo] Tag

Hi Ron. Thanks...

But, bear in mind that it does occasionally play correctly. If it was a flash problem, it would never play.

Re: [vimeo] Tag

I always had the Vimeo app installed, but it made no difference in the forum browsing problem - i.e. it did not get control when trying to open the Vimeo video. I haven't had much success with that app either, very slow and cranky.

I will look at Puffin, thanks.

[vimeo] Tag

Hi All! I am having trouble viewing videos in forum posts using the [vimeo] tag on my iPad. I have tried different iPad browsers (although they are, I think, all the same core software) with the same results. Basically, I see nothing at all, just a big blank space. But sometimes (10%?) if clicked th...

Re: Lost audio in Chrome

Duh. Solved. Google search to the rescue again! There is a volume control on the Vimeo play window. Somehow I must have clicked that low/off when attempting to click the full screen icon next to it. The setting is persistent, even if you open a different window, re-access the site, etc. Thanks for t...

Re: Lost audio in Chrome

did you mute your speaker by accident? No. When I first heard the video (just uploaded) not play sound, my thought was that the video file itself was bad. So I went to the original file that was uploaded, and it played fine. Next I tried other older Vimeo videos that I knew were good that also didn...

Re: Lost audio in Chrome

Just have to ask why you guys are using Chrome when it was reported that Google was working with NSA to track every move you make using that browser. I know that Google has come out saying that they don't do that any more but do I believe that? No. Now don't get me wrong here...If you want to use C...

Lost audio in Chrome

Hi guys! This is a strange one. I was working on a video upload to Vimeo and all worked fine yesterday and today. Suddenly my Vimeo videos play, but there is no sound. I tried some of my other videos, but all silent. I tried other videos here on muvipix and they are silent too. I changed from Chrome...
