Re: Safe Color Range for TV

You mean aside from my two articles, "How to edit DVD menu templates with Photoshop Elements" and "Customizing a DVD Template, Step by Step", which you can find here, Marcos? http://muvipix.com/products.php?maincat_id=7&subcat_id=7 (Although written for Photo Elements, the pr...

Re: Safe Color Range for TV

According to what I read about Encore, it is possible to have an adjustment layer in your DVD menu template.

But I tend to play closer to the vest, Marcos. So I usually keep it as simple as possible.

Re: Safe Color Range for TV

Thanks, Bob. After researching some of Adobe's help documents, I can only say for sure what Adobe says: That the engine that generates the background of a DVD is not the same as that used to generate the DVD menu highlights. So there is clearly a "highlight safe" range -- but I've yet to f...

Re: Safe Color Range for TV

I too have had trouble with certain colors not showing as highlights, Marcos.

Since then I've made a point of using only web safe colors for highlightts and I haven't had a problem.

(Although that doesn't explain pure white -- which is web safe, but still doesn't show up on a DVD menu. Hmmm.)

Re: Great Video - Great Laugh

Does anyone besides me remember a 1960s movie called "The President's Analyst"? It's about a conspiracy to hook everyone up to wireless telephones permanently.

It's beginning to seem like we're now doing this of our own free will.

Re: Milk Thief, A Short I made for my school film festival

That's really amazing footage from a non-video camera!

But I still don't think, even for under $100, I'd trust a Ziplock bag to keep my camera dry in a pool!

Re: Milk Thief, A Short I made for my school film festival

Very nicely shot, Tiny! I think you've definitely got a great eye for cinematography. And did you shoot it and star in it too? That's tough to pull off with any effectiveness -- but you seem to have done it very well! Sorry you missed our spring video contest. But I sure hope we'll see you represent...

Re: Video Yearbook

Well, as everyone here probably knows, I do a family yearbook every year, recapping highlights from our past 12 months' adventures. For me, half the fun is coming up with a format or theme for it. For instance, since it's a school yearbook, maybe you want to make it look like an actual book opening ...
