Re: Burgers Transitions

The actual path on your PC may be a little different but the plug-ins folder should be here:- C:/Adobe/Adobe Premeiere Elements 3/Plug-ins/en_US Normally you should install the Burger stuff in the en_US folder Whoops. My fault. I missed a directory from the path. Try this:- C:/Program Files/...

Re: New HV20 - lots of questions

Late to the fray here (broadband connection problems :( ).

I do not understand why it should be so but a lot of camera manufacturers provide a selection of connection cables EXCEPT the one you will most likely need first - the firewire wire!

Re: Canon DV camcorder and Ulead video studio 11

The ulead products are good for basic video editing - that is where I started from. But I quickly reached the point where ulead was not giving me the editing features and control that I wanted (e.g. keyframes) and also it was becoming very unstable on my PC (I lost two weeks editing work on a single...

Re: Encore & Quad-core

Jack, just ran a very quick test and the answer to your question is 'Yes'.  All four cores are active (according to Everest Ultimate). EDIT: Sorry, my home wireless network went down before I could finish the posting. :( :( The test file that I used was not big enough to determine whether...

Re: Make an eye wink?

Mine was quite simple, just extract upper eyelid then use transform/warp to make it fit the lower eyelid, then just clone stamp to fill in the gaps. BUT here is a tutorial that I found which may be more help:- :)

Re: Make an eye wink?

OK. It is possible in Photoshop but it would be a lot easier if you had the image of the eye closed as well as the eye open. Here is my attempt - caveat, I spent less than two or three minutes doing this so, done more carefully, it will look a lot lot better. :-D :-D http://muvipix.com/cpg/albums/us...

Re: Make an eye wink?

Brian, would using something like Winmorph to create the transition from open eye to closed eye be of any use?

Re: Wide angle lens multiplier

One of the bets examples of changing perspective by altering focal length, whilst keeping the main image size the same is a scene in the film Jaws where the sheriff (Roy Schieder) sitting on the beach looking out to the sea when Jaws makes an attack.

Re: Wide angle lens multiplier

Jack, On my Sony HVRA1, I use a 0.6 Sony wide adaptor. It opens up the field of view OK but if shooting through a door frame, for example, where the door frame provides a "rectangular point of reference" (hope that makes sense) then there is some very mild (i.e. acceptable) barrel distorti...

Re: Shooting a computer screen

Hi Charles, If it is just a still image that you need then the PrEl still image capture will do the trick. If it is a video sequence that you are after then, as Chuck says, if it is a CRT type monitor you may well get the flicker effect. On my TFT monitor set-up (resolution 1280x1024) I have success...
