Search found 14058 matchesRe: XP service pack 3I downloaded it onto two computers last night with no problems or issues. Took about 20 minutes. Microsoft lists it as "highly recommended", so you can take that as you will. There certainly doesn't seem to be a downside that I've seen indication of. But, as I said, you probably won't noti...
Re: Can't "capture" from HV30 to Premiere Elements with WindowsThanks for posting here. I'm sure someone will be able to help. Your problem sounds similar to what Al is experiencing in this thread. http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2814 Hopefully, between the two of you and others who are not having problems, we can figure this out. Meantime, I...
Re: Capture IssuesI still think we need a "control" for this experiment, Al. Do you have access to any other computer -- ideally one with no other editing software on it -- that you can install Premiere Elements on to see if it can capture any better? At least that would help us isolate the problem. (And, y...
Re: XP service pack 3I wouldn't worry about it installing, Rich. It's more a cumulative set of updates than a major upgrade, like SP2 was. If you've been keeping your Windows up to date, Windows Update will likely see all those updates and just install a few more. Either way, it won't change your life. No big performanc...
Re: Fit content to available spaceYou're a wise man, chooks.
Many people have it in their minds that they need to fill the entire disk or it's not a good show. In my experience, 45 minutes is about as long as any audience can sit still for even the best edited home movie!
Re: Capture IssuesAl, I might owe you an apology! Someone else just posted to the Adobe forum with the same issue!
So maybe there is something going on between the HV30 and PRemiere Elements 4. Meantime, though, check out Jack's recommended camera settings in the link above and see if it helps at all.
Re: Pan and Zoom Effect-Photoshop 6 & APE4And, once you've brought photos into your project, you can of course use them as many times as you want in your project. Just grab them again from the Media/Project panel!
Re: Capturing and dropped framesSometimes it ain't worth wondering. You just appreciate the fact that it's working and move on.
Glad I could point you toward the right direction, Peru.
Re: Capture IssuesBTW, Al, have you seen this related thread, in our Camcorders forum? http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2825 That said, yours seems to be a unique and very uncommon problem, so it's probably not an issue with Premiere Elements, per se. If all other things are right, I wonder if there...
Re: Fit content to available spaceOur rule of thumb is that you fit about 70 minutes of video on a standard DVD at the highest DVD quality, chooks.
If it's a dual-layer disk, you can get about twice that.
Re: Premiere Elements 4.0 Folder SizeI'm sorry it's been such a struggle for you, Andelee.
Fortunately, once you do get this program configured and installed properly (and it sounds like you finally have), it's usually smooth sailing. Hope things go smoothly from here for you!
Re: Capturing and dropped framesWow! That goes against what I understand about capture through a DV bridge, Peru.
Maybe someone else can explain why this is happening.
Re: Capturing and dropped framesThe quality of the original tape should have nothing to do with whether or not you're getting dropped frames, Peru. As far as your computer is concerned, the source is your ADVC. Not your tape player. In fact, if you try it with another, "cleaner" tape, you'll likely get dropped frames fro...
Sorry for being away reduxMrs. Chuck has just called to let me know Chuck is back in the hospital. More aches and shortness of breath related to his collapsed lung procedure last week. Hopefully, this is routine and easily remedied. In any event, I'll keep you apprised. We're such a caring community of friends, and the thoug...
Re: Just an updateYeah, but an oral agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
