Re: The Museum of Obsolete Media

While this generation talks about how much video they have recorded the next generation will talk about how much they have thrown away... circle of life I guess. :)

The Museum of Obsolete Media

The technology race keeps going faster and faster. For a trip down the technology of yesteryear how about a visit to the Museum of Obsolete Media. A sort of "island for lost toys" for technology. http://www.obsoletemedia.org/ obsolete.PNG In an age when the boundaries of geography, gender,...

Re: The Advantage of using Prime Lenses

I don't think it should be a Prime vs Zomm because I think there is room for both styles. What I did take away was that the writer was encouraging the photographer to get as involved as possible to take better pictures. I would most certainly use a zoom lens if I was taking pictures of a bear.

The Advantage of using Prime Lenses

A very interesting point of view regarding the advantages of using a prime lense. Photography is an active art form. Its goal is to bring the viewer into a situation in an affecting and visceral way. You can't do that if you're just standing in one spot. But that's just what you'll end up doing if y...

Re: Suggestions for DVD cover creation?

I have found that sometimes the DVD case manufacturer has a link to their website where you can download a free template that is specific to their case. I have had luck especially with the slimline cases.

Re: Go Pro Beginner Question

Luckily you will not need to buy batteries... but since you have to recharge to make it work a good portable power source is always nice to have. I look forward to seeing your first opus.

Re: Mexico - chill out video

I really liked how you kept coming back to that blue water. I think that made the video really cool. I also liked some of your transitions. It had the feeling of blinking of an eye then looking at something else. The music gave it a nice chill out effect. Once again Very Well done.

Re: New Years Day Time Lapse

Thanks Steve With these time lapses I kind of feel like Ron Popeil "set it and forget it" :yh: I am finding that the time lapses are really fun to do. I have my portable pole set up with my camera and I just face the sun and go back inside and have a cup of coffee while it is doing its thi...

New Years Day Time Lapse

I hope your New Year is starting off well.

We had a very nice morning in terms of clouds so I tried to capture a quick time lapse.
