Check the IDE settings in device manager. You are looking for something like IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. Expand this option and select Primary IDE Channel, right click then select properties. The Crucial and Kingston memory webites have a 'memory type selector' facility. One (both?) of the sites enable input of the motherboard model number to determine the correct memory spec. HTH.
