Re: First Televisions by Home Tinkerers

Cool Post. Even 78 years ago innovation out paced the ability to get product to market. Cool article.

Re: The Milwaukee Domes

Thank you I have to say I think Steve's voice is the glue that pulls it all together. I am still working on trying to make the shots as smooth as possible but it is a lot harder than I was expecting. I was really happy to be at the domes when the place was almost empty. Sometimes I am hesitant to tr...

Re: Mexico Slices 3 - Nature

You really have to weed thru a bunch of duds too.

Finding the right music is the hardest part of making a video for me. Sometimes when I go back and watch old video I have made I can see a trend in the music I was going for at the time.

Re: Mexico Slices 3 - Nature

I listen to many tracks, sometimes over 100, until I find the one that speaks to me I know that feeling. One you find the one that speaks to you it feels like that was what the video needed all along. I sometimes even google the feeling I get from watching the video with no music. I have a hard tim...

The Milwaukee Domes

I had a really quick trip to Milwaukee the first week of August and got a chance to visit the Milwaukee Domes and shoot some footage. Although I was not able to schedule a visit with Milwaukee's favorite son, I had the next best thing.......including his voice once again in a video.

Re: Q for Francesco re: out of focus footage

Francesco you have some very clever ideas that work well. I easiest ones a lot of times turn out to be the best ones. Keep up the great work. You bring the Italian island to life. :)

Re: A Drone on a Leash

I think this is a great concept and the $250price point seems pretty good.

But in the words of Ben Franklin.... Don't fly this baby in the rain. :hyst:

Re: Takeoff at Sunrise

Thanks Paz,

Because I could not see out the window, I was surprised at what a wonderful sunrise the camera captured. I was expecting a pretty overcast day. It would have been cool to see the view from the pilots window.

Re: Another Hummer

Very nice Paz is this something you recorded? The image is very crisp and clear. I like that DOF it makes all the difference in the world. What camera did you use to record this. The birds always look so big in video but when I see them perched in a tree they are so tiny. Well done

Thanks Dave.

It was approx. 15 minutes long but to my arm it felt like an hour. :)

Re: 2.5 D photos in After Effects video & tuts

Spending the time in PS upfront pays off later in AE

I agree. I tried making a simple animation and it worked really well. It just took a long time. I wonder if Adobe would come up with an automated process to automatically layer a still image.

Re: Takeoff at Sunrise

Thank you.

I used the camera with a small tabletop tripod. The plane window had a small recess that I could rest two of the tripod legs on. My arm was too tired by the time we were above the clouds. I am not sure but it seemed like the plane cork-screwed to gain elevation.
