Re: HV30 hdvsplit Problem - Help Please!

As Chuck says, the biggest problem with PrPro CS3 and PrElv4 (unless I have missed something - a subtle setting(?)) is that HDV capture in those programs results in one long, unsplit, captured file. :( HDV Split does at least do basic scene detect which is of huge assistance in doing a first cut edi...

Re: Countdown graphic

You might find an internet image that you can work with in Photoshop. Try both Google and AltaVista as they often return slightly different results.

Re: what does 1000 mean to you

I used to think that I was paranoid but I tried hard not to let the people watching me know it.

Re: Have Title block

Cheryl, I googled 'mortar board' and found this

there may be other images that you can manipulate/modify in PS then animate in PE as in your intro sample. That could be an easy way to merge in some 3D style hats. :?:

Re: Transitions - over doing it?

Some folk might really appreciate seeing a variety of transitions in material that they can relate to on a personal level (think, for example, wedding, birthday or other party, 'fun' event etc). Other folk might find it a bit twee (fo...

Re: AVG Version 8

The biggest problem that I found with version 8 was the links scanner which seemed to slow down any 'googling' :???: .
I turned that feature off and now all is OK. :-D

Re: Help me decide

I have a dual 19" Samsung SyncMaster 940BF (1280x1024) set up along with a 17" LCD TV for playback.
Works OK for me; no problems. Though I will at some point in the future switch to 1920x1080 all round.

Re: Barbados

Try the Waterfront Bar in Bridgetown for a long, lazy, late afternoon/early evening drink/snack and watch the sport fishing boats come in with their catches. :-D

Re: VIXIA HV30 Basic Set up ?

Hi John, I can help with some of your queries:- 1) What Basic settings do you suggest on the Camcorder to get me by for now? I don't have this camera so cannot help on this point. 2) I bought a couple of Panasonic DVC for HD tapes? The main message about tapes is to stick to one brand only. There ha...
