Re: Encore Q's

Burner software/driver updating is quite straightforward. Use the internet to go to your DVD manufacturers website, locate your product and check for the latest driver version, download it and install (it is normally self executing). Bingo.

Re: Encore Q's

The 'Check Project' button is really useful as Encore warns you if you try to burn a project that contains errors. The Preview function is also useful for checking disc navigation before the DVD burn. I always burn to re-writable media so that I can carry out a final check on a DVD player before bur...

Re: How to draw lines on a map?

Sorry, drifting way OT here - this has nothing to do with drawing a line on a map, but..... Do you remember a film called "Whoops Apocalypse"? In truth the film was dire but it was based on a UK TV series of the same name; the TV series was BRILLIANT! :-D :-D Well the TV version is lined u...

Re: External hard drive - now a paper weight?

I built my current PC. It was the first PC build I have ever done and no problems. :-D I bought the MoBo and CPU as a package (ASUS P5N32-E SLI and Intel Q6600). Other than that it was all separate components. The documentation that came with the MoBo was all that I used. It was easy to follow and l...

Re: Hello from Robyn in Queanbeyan, NSW, Australia

Hello Robyn. Good luck with your project. One thing about this forum is that you can ask as many questions as you like and someone, somewhere will generally provide an answer within a few hours. Off original topic I know but I think that the first sign of middle age is when you need something that i...

Re: System has recovered from serious error

AS Lee suggests, overheating is a classic cause of system shutdown especially very soon after booting up. With the side cover removed from your PC, power it up and check that the CPU fan is operating. If it is not then you will need a new heat sink/fan combo. Last one I bought for a PC I was fixing ...

Re: Scan 35mm Slides

I used the Epson 4490 to capture all of my slides (about 1,000) and all of my negs (don't ask how many). Yes it took a while :( but it did the job. :-D

Re: how to design and print a DVD case cover?

Also some DVD burning software comes with label design software (e.g Nero). Canon also provide label printing software for some of there printers - maybe the printer manuafacturer of your printer does. It is worth checking their website. Also there may be shareware or similar that you might find. A ...

Re: How to draw lines on a map?

I played around with this for a few minutes using a pic of a snake and a garden map that I got from Google images. Moving the still image of the snake around the map isn't a problem. Use Photoshop to isolate the snake from its background then use the motion property in PrEl to rescale the image and ...

Re: Sign Chuck's Get Well Card Here!

:-D :-D Hey Chuck, sounds like you are suffering from an economist's disease, or maybe a racing driver problem with a car - deflation! :-D :-D

Seriously though, I hope things are OK for you on your next check up.
