VIMEO goes High-Def

I am shocked that I beat Ed to this posting. :-D The New York Post reported on Tuesday morning that New York-based video-hosting community site Vimeo plans to announce this week that it will be distributing videos at a high-definition resolution of 1,280x720 pixels, making it apparently the first us...

Re: So what is the Version 4 recommendation now?

I find it rather ironic that as creative as the output can be for PE users, the work flow requires the user to remain very rigid. If there is no changing the new program, an extremely cool fix is if a 3rd party created a plug in to allowed the user to customize their work flow. I even think that &qu...

Re: So what is the Version 4 recommendation now?

It almost seems like there is a polarization happening when it comes to video editing. The Pro gets more Pro and the Elements gets more ....Elemental. It looks like PE is starting to focus more on the Elements part of its name instead of the Premiere portion of the name. Maybe it is time to petition...

Animation for the Masses

A really cool article from Technology Review 2007 http://www.technologyreview.com/printer_friendly_article.aspx?id=19344 Computer-generated effects are becoming increasingly more realistic on the big screen, but these animations generally take hours to render. Now, Adobe Systems, the company famous ...

Re: Buy The Newest Version Now

Since you are my Super Agent Lee, and my Muxipix academy entrance would never have happend with out you..... It would be nice if each option was both easily accessable. Or, the user could pick the options they want to see. IMO the most ironic thing on the screen is that after the user clicks the pro...

Re: Buy The Newest Version Now

I agree with Steve. I use PE to create something that is unique to me. While I can see having themes to get a user interested in the program or even to batch process video the theme concept is like having a paint by numbers picture. It looks like a work of art but all the user had to do was follow t...

Re: Premiere Elements 4

So let's all be sure to make a lot of noise about that Properties panel, okay? The inaccessability of the property panel is really poor. If you have to click on the effects panel every time then click edit effect to see properities is a huge time waster. I cannot imagine why they cannot have all th...

Re: Premiere Elements 4 Stuff

Well I liked it and I think it will be well received. =D>

I guess it reinforces the idea that it is much easier to be behind the camera.

Re: Premiere Elements 4 Stuff

Steve, You really hit the nail on the head. Great story but.......did I see you reading from a cue card in one portion??????

No worries. It looks like PE4 will be a winner. Sounds like a great impetus to have another video contest.

Re: SONY HDR-CX7 AVCHD flash memory camcorder

Those are really nice cameras and really small too. Nice going. But….what kind of gymnastics do you need to do to get the file ready to edit, or will that loose resolution? I have started to calculate how much Hard drive space I would need if I went to flash memory. I have an HC1 too and I like all ...
