Re: Christmas Light Show 2017

This is really fun stuff Chuck! I don't know where you get the energy. I'd love to see this when it makes the transition to the real display. Great choice of music, too. :TU:

Re: Kaleidoscope effect

I am starting to develop a real dislike of the Drone selfie. It is cumbersome at best. Specifically the "hey I am standing with my controller so you can see the shot of me looking at my controller" - watching grass grow can be more exciting. :ha: I agree. The effect could be done with any...

Re: Kaleidoscope effect

There you go Sidd. Pretty straightforward to do once you've got the drone footage.

Re: Is there a way to control the flip effect using keyframe

Bob wrote:Camera View has its uses, but, for most situations, I usually use the Basic 3D effect. Keyframe the Tilt property from 90 to 0 degrees.

There you go.

Re: Is there a way to control the flip effect using keyframe

Probably several ways to do this, but here is one. In your effects, under the Transform category, apply the Camera View effect. Play with the longitude to begin with to get an idea of what will happen. Starting at 90 degrees or 270 degrees will turn the photo so that you're looking at the "edge...

Re: What E-mail Program to use?

I'm not sure why you've decided that the problem is with Thunderbird. It sounds to me like maybe your hardware needs to be reset. Shut down the computer, remove power from your modem and wireless router (assuming you have one), wait 60 seconds, then power back up the modem, wait 3 minutes, power up ...

Re: Fade in and Fade out Video

Under my Edit/Preferences/General, the Video Transition Default Duration is 1100 frames; AudioTransition Default Duration is 1.00 seconds. Somehow your video transition default duration got changed. There are 30 fps (NTSC) so there's your 36 second transition: 1100/30 = 36.7. Change that number to ...

Re: Title text disappears when title moved in timeline

Reinstalled PrEl 11 this morning. Everything's back to normal and working as it should. It's problems like this that have boggled the great minds of science and made them soft. Thanks for your efforts Steve and Sidd.

Re: Title text disappears when title moved in timeline

Dave Could the lasso effect be causing the layers to somehow be placed out of order? Or could you have inadvertently changed the opacity of the text to 100% ? Regarding the order of the clips layers (tracks), I did check that. Actually, text opacity should be at 100%, and it is. But the strange thi...

Re: Title text disappears when title moved in timeline

Thanks for the reply Steve. After my original post things just got weirder. Now when I try to create a new title I don't get the Add Text box. I just get a blank title screen with no title editing area. Clicking on the text tool, I can't type into a text box. I think the program is corrupted, becaus...

Title text disappears when title moved in timeline

I have about a 15 minute video project to which I've added about 3 dozen 5 second titles. These are done like subtitles (near the bottom of the screen), with the titles overlaid on a 50% opacity gray rectangle to make them more visible against the video. Thus, I have the video on track 1, the gray r...

Re: Music Video Fridays, Music Memories and Obituaries!!!

Yep, I didn't fully appreciate Steely Dan until the release of Aja, then I got to enjoying most everything they did. For some they were an acquired taste, for others it was love 'em or hate 'em. But they were a sound of their own. Rest In Peace Walter, and thanks for the music.
