Re: NEW LAP TOP

Correct on the touchpad. HP and others have been doing this for a while now on some models. I'm not a fan - would much rather have the buttons. Although having said this, I normally use a wireless mouse with a laptop anyway. A lot of laptop manufacturers are also eliminating the optical drive. I not...

Re: Stars transition

Hi Karen. Welcome to Muvipix! :meet:
I don't know of any way to make that kind of change to a transition, but that doesn't mean that it can't be done. We'll see if anyone else has any ideas.

Re: My printer stopped working.

Way to go. Sounds like the sort of thing I used to enjoy doing, but don’t have the motivation for anymore. I have a Luxman audio amplifier sitting on my workbench that I’m pretty sure only needs a diode, but haven’t taken the trouble to fix because I really don’t need the amp. I’ll probably pitch it...

Re: The Train Depot

What a great look at the station and surrounding area! Very watchable, and the video quality and color is amazing. As I've said before, I love vicariously touring these places that I'll never get to see in person. Thanks for sharing, and nice job Steve! :TU: (I tend to agree with Chuck. I'd probably...

Re: Content aware fill for video

I think all of us have had a situation where we'd like to have had this available. The future is here. I wonder when they'll bring it to Premiere Elements? :hyst:

Re: Premiere Elements Playback Stops on Own

Great info! I've had this happen occasionally when playing back video from the timeline in full screen mode. Don't know if it's related to what you're describing or something else, but I'll try to keep this in mind.

Re: GoPro 6 is here

You have no idea! One of trips we climbed a pyramid, well not all the way up, and he wanted my camera to take video. Handed it off to him and climbed on down. I told him no panning to just hold steady about 15 seconds. When he returned down and handed me the camera he said there was something wrong...

Re: Napa fires

Those photographs are incredible. So, so sad. Please don't take this wrong, because I don't mean to make light of this in any way, but there's a strange beauty in those photographs that, if taken out of context, could be appreciated. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

Re: a couple of new products

:CS: I love this stuff. Nobody got rich off of either of those products (unlike the pet rocks) but they went to the trouble just because they had a sense of humor and wanted to do it. Here's something from 30 years ago that came from one of the audiophile magazines that I once subscribed to. Almost ...

Re: They removed export to Blu-Ray?

Did I read the announcement correctly? They removed the option to burn a Blu-ray disc with a menu? Wow- that was my main use case. I guess they lost me as a customer if that is really true. Yeah, it's true. I feel your pain. I still use Blu-ray discs myself, but I don't use PrEl to burn them. Inste...

Re: Seagate releases massive 12TB hard disk drive

Science fiction! Along those lines, take a look at the November 2017 issue of Discover magazine. It talks about sending humans to other worlds by light waves. "Simply transmit about 2 gigabytes of information needed to specify a person's DNA and incubating a baby to be raised by AI, or the AI ...
