I had to use the WDM capture before I got the firewire card. Had lots of trouble with the USB port WDM capture. Could only capture video and not audio. The video quality was much less too.

I tried the title video, still no luck. But, will try it again. Feel like I am in a video game on level one and everyone on level 10 is giving me the cheats and I still can't get it. I'll try again.

Hey Chuck, you think they 'move' off to college. Oldest just graduated (RN) and moved home temorarily 11 months ago. I guess too easy here at the 'Hilton'. Need help, Wheat King. Even with your excellent visual, still can't get the simple lens flare thing. I tried using black video - what opacity le...

Thanks for the book referrals. If I get the last one listed, can I get it autographed? :) That would make a good Muvipix prize!

Thanks. You explain things so well. I had mine set at 1024x768. I reread 'snap' page 98 and that explained if you want to zoom in on a still in PE3 what you have to do in PS5 first. From my understanding, to place a still in PE3 there is no need to change the pixels that PE3 renders the graphics. (U...

VGA & settings

Have XVGA card. Read Wiki & Manuals.

1. What is the optimal resolution setting for PE3 & PSE5?

2. If you import/capture at a lower resolution, consequence at burning/exporting at a higher resolution?

3. Do you need to be consistant with the settings on one project?

The Nikon manual states that it is compatible with Photoshop as the host, but may need plugin.

I will check that link out, thanks. My best option at that point may be to contact Adobe directly.

plug-in

I am using Nikon Coolscan V ED to convert old slides and using Photoshop Elements 5 as the host application. A warning pops up about 'TWAIN' source or acquire a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. I went to Adobe plug-ins and there are many options. Any suggestions on which would work for my project? The p...

Editing in Progress?

Just got Photoshop Elements 5.0. After I edit a picture, there is an icon with a lock on the pic in the organizer window. 'Editing in Progress'. How long does this take to edit? After 45 min, I exited the program. Looked thru all of the help files and found nothing on this icon/wording.

Tutorial suggesions: More keyframing. The pan & zoom was very helpful. I would like to see the lensflare sparkle effect. I tried using Wheat King's settings, but I must be doing something wrong. It still has a halo instead of beams of light. The 3D motion would be good too. A tour of PE3. Having...
