Re: Is there a way to control the flip effect using keyframe

Camera View has its uses, but, for most situations, I usually use the Basic 3D effect. Keyframe the Tilt property from 90 to 0 degrees.

Re: Advice on purchasing a computer for video editing

As Steve said earlier, most Pro level video editors can use graphics cards to accelerate some processing. But, most consumer versions of the same editors use very little or no graphics acceleration. You haven't said whether you're using a Pro level or consumer level editor. If you are using Vegas Mo...

Re: Fade in and Fade out Video

Sorry for the confusion. The fading problem you are having is due to a combination of the shortness of the clip and the long duration of the fade. One caveat before I explain what I think is happening. I am a Premiere Pro user. Premiere Pro works a bit differently than Premiere Elements. I did use P...

Re: Fade in and Fade out Video

I did notice that on the clips where the fading effect would not work properly, I had edited and split the clip very near the beginning or end of the clip resulting in a spliced portion that is very short in length. Could this be the problem? It could very well be the problem. First, a comment rega...

Re: Fade in and Fade out Video

If you are using Windows 7 or later, there is a snipping tool in the Windows Accessories that you can use to take a screen shot and save as a jpeg for posting.

I'd like to see a shot of the Opacity property of that clip in the Applied Effects Panel as well.

How long is the clip?

Re: Aug_2017 Solar Eclipse Info, esp for photographers

Here's a view of the solar eclipse from the other direction. :-D

Stitched together from photos taken with the GOES-16 weather satellite, it shows the path of the shadow as it moves across the U.S..

Re: Bezier tutorials

It would help if I could find a clear definition of those rt click keyframe drop-down options, like Bezier and Auto Bezier, and the Interpolation options, etc. When you create keyframes, you are specifying specific values for specific properties at specific points in time (i.e. frames). As the vide...

Re: Newbie here

Welcome to Muvipix, Wildcat. Don't be afraid to ask as many beginners questions as you need. We remember what it was like when we were first learning video editing and we are very patient and understanding. Premiere Elements should be able to handle all the resolutions your camera records and create...

Re: Why blurr license plates

The author of that article apparently didn't know about the DPPA. DMV agencies can't indiscriminately release that information anymore. However, the DPPA provide a list of authorized uses where it can released. The DPPA is broader than just the DMV agencies and their contractors. It also has rules a...

Re: Photoshop elements 4 and directx

Did this actually correct the problem? DirectPlay is a software interface between applications and communication services to connect games over the Internet or a network and manage the flow of information between hosts and players. DirectPlay is part of the DirectX API, but it is a separate module. ...

Re: Text in Photo

Hi Ken, Just so you know what's happening, when you added the text you created a layered image. The first layer being your photo, the second layer being your text. The reason you got that message is that jpeg files do not support multiple layers. The message is warning you that the multiple layers w...

Re: VIRUS SOFTWARE

Sorry, but I simply can't agree with your friend. At best, Windows Defender and the other built-in Windows 10 antivirus protection is middling. Don't take my word for it, read the review of Windows 10 "Windows Defender Security Center" by PC Magazine. Here's the lead-in: "With the adv...

Re: Clip Time

You were almost there. Under Preferences, select General and find the "Still Image Default Duration" setting. Enter the desired default duration. The tricky part is that the duration is given in frames. For a project that is 30 frames per second, the default 5 second duration is 150 frames...

Re: Importing still photo into Premiere Elements 15

I think there is still some confusion. Before I address that, could you give me a few more details. You say you have an 8x10 still image. Is the orientation of the photo horizontal (i.e. 10" wide by 8" tall) or vertical (i.e. 8" wide by 10" tall)? What are the pixel dimensions of...

Re: PSA: Video standards still matter online

How many people do you think would understand? Not many. Even less if they are under 20. And, I think they would anger their customer base if they did that. For whatever reason, no one seems to want to rotate their phones. I've noticed that when I'm out in a public area, I almost never see anyone h...
