Search found 5715 matchesRe: Audio EFFECT/ADJUSTMENT Tools?Sorry I couldn't reply sooner. I'm glad you figured out how the audio became unaligned with the video. You aren't the first person to get zapped by "delete and close gap". But, that's the way it works. I am a bit puzzled by the loss of audio transitions you describe. Certainly, the keyfram...
Re: Audio EFFECT/ADJUSTMENT Tools?Howard, AIFF and WAV are equivalent and have equal quality. Both formats are uncompressed, lossless, and encode audio the same way using PCM (pulse code modulation) -- the contents are the same. Historically, AIFF was developed by Apple and is most associated with Macintosh systems, and WAV was deve...
Re: Audio EFFECT/ADJUSTMENT Tools? Thanks, Bob (Peru), I didn't know wav export was missing from the current version. Any idea which version that started? Anyway, the current version may not have it, but I believe he is using Premiere Elements 11 which does. Per: https://help.adobe.com/archive/en/premiere-elements/11/premiere-element...
Re: Audio EFFECT/ADJUSTMENT Tools? It's absolutely doable. That's what Steve was talking about when he said "you certainly could go with an external audio editor to improve your audio." It's been a while since I've used Premiere Elements (I use Premiere Pro now), but I'm pretty sure you can still export directly to a .wav f...
Re: Repeated Application of "Adjustments"?It's totally NOT necessary. Everything inside the editor is non destructive. The source video is not altered and each frame is rendered on the fly as you preview in the monitor. Make as many adjustment changes as you need. You can even save the project and make adjustments in subsequent sessions. Ch...
Re: Topaz Sharpen AIThanks for the report, RJ! I was wondering how well it worked.
I have Topaz InFocus too and just received my free upgrade notice this morning. I haven't had a chance to download and try it out yet. The introductory price of $59.99 is available until March 15th then changes to $79.99.
Re: Theory: Trimming vs. Split and Delete?Howard, As for cutting down that 2.2gb file and saving only what you used, take another look at the Project Archiver (which is located under the "File" menu item). It sounds, to me, like the Archive Project option will do what you want to do. The Project Archiver has two options: Archive P...
Re: HOW TO COMBINE CLIPS?I see no reason why you should stay away from the latest version. Support for capture over firewire was removed, but you don't have firewire on your current computer so you weren't able to use that already. Whether you capture to dv-avi on your old computer or use the USB device and capture to mp4, ...
Re: Well I Did it this time..Poor Al, that's going to outlive him. Too bad, he probably could have used a better choice of words, he was referring to his legislative support. His 1991 bill directly led to the National Information Infrastructure which was essential for today's Internet. That bill also funded the lab where the Mo...
Re: HOW TO COMBINE CLIPS?That will handle the video, but not the audio. Howard wants both to fade out.

Re: HOW TO COMBINE CLIPS?It's too bad you don't have Premiere Elements 12( or above). That release introduced a new feature called adjustment layers which would allow you to easily apply an effect across multiple clips or even your entire timeline. You could easily do your fade out. But, Premiere Elements 11 doesn't do that...
Re: Da Vinci Resolve crossroadsWelcome to the party Sidd! Truth be known, I've been wondering what you would do if you had a 360 camera. Now, I can find out.
This stuff is seriously addictive. Have fun with it!
Re: 360 Driving
I do that too! Mainly to get new ideas and see how others are handling the nadir. I usually keep my comments to myself, though.
Re: AUDIO SAMPLING RATE FOR VIDEOSRemember, the 44.1k and 48k rates are sampling rates -- not bit rates. Conversion from 44.1k to 48k is a resampling rather than an interpolation. Assuming the algorithm used is equivalent, it doesn't matter whether you do it in your ripping software or in Premiere Elements. I've never found this to ...
Re: AUDIO SAMPLING RATE FOR VIDEOSAudio sample rates for video projects in Premiere Elements are 48k because most camcorders record at that rate. If the audio rate of your source audio is not 48k, Premiere Elements will conform it to 48k. The native audio rate for CDs is 44.1k. Re-ripping to 48k will essentially do the same thing th...
