So the four points should form a rectangle at the bottom of the screen. The layer 2 and 3 tracks will be revealed above ...

Easiest just to use the 4-point garbage matte. Have the bottom track your video, the track above that the scrolling music and the track above that the video again with the garbage matte applied.

The newer camcorder like the HC5/HC7 have much better low light performance then the earlier CMOS sensor devices (like the one in my HC1). Which is important if you do a lot of shooting indoors, you dont want grainy HDV video. I follow the SONY HDV forum where they discuss the performance merits of ...

Hi Bob, using a DL disc you could get 40 min on a DVD. To get the HD DVD format on the disc is a bit convoluted (unless you use the latest Pinnacle software that allows burning directly from Pinnacle to a standard DVD in HD-DVD format). I export my edited HDV 1080i file from PE, I then bring this in...

No need to wait for Blu-Ray or HD-DVD players to come along. I capture and edit HDV and then burn 20 mins using HD DVD format (25MB/s HDV standard) with menu to a single layer standard DVD played on my PC through the Component out ports of my graphics card. Looks wonderfull. And of course I ca...

For me it depends. If it is a long project but fairly simple editing I will keep it as a single project. However if the project is fairly complex, using multiple video/audio tracks and mulitple source formats I will break it down into chunks. Some projects lend themselves more easily to this than ot...

When you fully format a hard drive dont you get the option to delete partitions? I do not recall now. Now I use a Partition Manager software which enables me to delete, create and in general manage all partitions.

Yes Vera, we should have one this side of the pond. Our problem would not be trying to decide the city... but which country to hold it in. :lurk:

I have always wondered why I need to increase the volume while watching commercial DVDs. Anyways, with Premiere Elements open up the Audio Meters (which is under Windows in the task bar) and view your levels, generally the level for most of my audio is around -6dBm. If there is no clipping or going ...
