Re: slideshow does not run smoothly in editor

I think you may have stumped us, Mike. If we can't duplicate your issue -- even on my less powerful machine -- we can't help you. I really don't know what's up. Sorry. Have you tried using the slideshow creator in the Organizer instead, and then importing your finished slideshow into your Premiere E...

Re: slideshow does not run smoothly in editor

I'm not so sure, Sidd. If he's rendered the timeline, the program should be playing the preview, so that photos should not bog down the system at all. Especially a powerful i7.

Re: slideshow does not run smoothly in editor

You certainly should not have problems playing and editing video on a computer with those specs, Mike.

Re: slideshow does not run smoothly in editor

2000 pixel wide photos are not overly large -- and ppi is irrelevant -- so that's not likely the issue. And once you've rendered your timeline, you're watching a preview video, not the original photos, anyway. It's as I've said, Mike, you've been posting a lot of issues in the last couple of weeks, ...

Re: Advice on purchasing a computer for video editing

I'd stick with the system you're looking at, Mel. As I said, it's like mine, only faster! And, even working with a basic on-board Intel graphics system, I have no problems editing almost any kind of video. A powerful graphics card could make rendering a bit faster, and it would be a bonus if you pla...

Re: Advice on purchasing a computer for video editing

I don't see any specs for a graphics system.

But it looks like a nice hardware set for the price! In fact, it's a lot like my rig.

It should definitely suit your needs.

Re: Vegas 15

I've not even toyed with it yet, Mel. I'm actually surprised it's that different than version 14!

Re: Opening screen

That's the program itself, not another screen. It shows that screen until you add media to your project.

So there's no way to get rid of it. Just add a media clip and it will disappear.

Re: Changing the default project folder

You can save your project files to wherever you'd like, Mike. But there's no way I know of to designate a new default save location.

Re: Empty Title & Text

I can't guarantee this will fix it, but it won't hurt anything to try. (Though I am concerned that you've suddenly started suffering a whole array of problems, Mike.)

Go to Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements\14.0\Styles and rename the workingset.prsl file workingset.old, then restart the program.
